Mission Statement

Big Class's mission is to cultivate and support the voices of New Orleans' young writers through creative collaborations with schools and communities.

Description

Our work is grounded in the understanding that writing is at the core of a thriving community, and that student writing in a purposeful context can pave the way to a brighter future. Through a project-based approach that engages community members as an audience for student writing, young writers produce tangible end-products they can be proud of, inspiring them to write more, write better, and write enthusiastically.
