Description
The Targeted Prevention Program offers free HIV testing, without appointment, Monday through Friday at our office. Other STD testing is available by appointment with a minimum fee of $10.
The Outreach Prevention Specialists provide interventions throughout Central, Eastern, and Northern Kentucky for the identified target groups. These interventions (including street outreach, empowerment workshop series, condom distributions, public sex environment outreach, and prevention case management for people at extreme risk of HIV, as well as for people with HIV) are scientifically proven to effectively reduce the risks and potential harm associated with high-risk behaviors.
The prevention team is trained by the CDC as Disease Intervention Specialists (DIS). They counsel clients daily on prevention and treatment. For positives, the DIS in the program provide anonymous partner notification services.
