Mission Statement

We are an artist-created, all-volunteer community nonprofit that promotes the visual arts in Georgetown and the surrounding Central Texas areas.

Description

The Georgetown Art Works has worked to strengthen the community of artists, collectors, art appreciators, and the public at large since 2008.

For the last ten years, we have operated the Georgetown Art Center and are now working to develop high-impact new arts events and facilities for artists and residents alike. Our current program includes:

  • Art Hop, the annual open call, juried exhibit of the works of Texas artist age 16 and over
  • Workshops and masterclasses for aspiring and experienced artists.
  • Connecting area artists with opportunities to provide art instruction to under-served families and children.
  • Exhibit space in commercial and non-profit organizations to our members
  • A major effort new Central Texas art facilities and programs in collaboration with other community non-profits
