Code for fun is a nonprofit organization, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, committed to exposing all students to computer science at an early age. We offer after school programs, camps, in school instruction and teachers training, throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for help with the following tasks to assist our Product Manager: - organize and monitor enrollment database - run analysis reports on the enrollment database - assist in creating course schedules - generate reports for accounting based on enrollment - do market research and gather information on similar programs - manage volunteer on-boarding and scheduling - maintain Google scripts used in operations Required skills: - Fluency in conversational English both speaking and writing - Familiar working with general operations and project timelines - Familiar with Google products - Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Forms, Scripting - Organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and complete work n a timely manner - Able to work independently as well as in a team setting - Be flexible and available for time-sensitive tasks This experience will provide you an opportunity to develop office management as well as people skills. You will work with a team of very passionate individuals focused on quality education. Training and support will be available. This is a remote opportunity with about 5-10 hours of engagement per week. We are looking for a detail oriented and organized team-players who are committed and responsible. Graphic Designer tasks - Design and edit images, such as logos, photographs and graphics Create visually appealing print and digital material Create layouts for marketing that are consistent with our brand guidelines as well as our website Requiements for this position: Experience with creating captivating graphic design creation. Ability to work independently. Available to work on projects with short deadlines. Content Writer tasks - Create weekly newsletters using MailChimp Perform basic research and be able to craft engaging content Create content that is consistent with company style guide and brand guidelines Collaborate with marketing team to ensure that content is on target and optimized for specific audiences Have strong command of the written English language, an eye for how details can make a big impact and to create top-quality website content that will engage audience and generate leads for clients Be an integral part of our overall content marketing efforts to promote sales and develop a sense of community Requiements for this position: Experience with engaging content creation. Code for fun is a non-profit organization committed to exposing students all over the world, to computer programming at an early stage, to help grow the next generation of engineers.

Description

We expose students from Kindergarten to High-School to coding in an interactive way. We offer after school programs and camps all over the San Francisco Bay Area.

Students get familiar with computer programming concepts, build their own game, and continue updating their work later on.

Great experience working with boys and girls ranging in age from 6-9 learning about code and that it can be really fun! The workshop encouraged kids to pair up and learn from each other and work together to solve the problems. I helped to supervise and guide the students through this session with leadership from the founder who is very dedicated to this cause. My sons both participated in these workshops and loved that they learned about code and came home eager to try new coding on their own - they had fun!
