Description

Thd Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP) is a an innovative model of healthcare delivery where volunteers (16 yrs and older) are carefully trained to provide therapeutic interventions at the bedside of elderly patients to preserve cognitive and physical function. The focus is holistic with emphasis on the mind-body-spirit connection.

The Hospital Elderly Life Program (HELP) Office at Moses Taylor Hospital is an AMAZING place to volunteer. Everyone involved with the program are so friendly, fun, warm, helpful, supportive. Each time I have volunteered, I end up with an wonderful feeling , knowing that I've made an improvement in someone's life, along with mine. There is so much you can learn by volunteering, and there is so much to learn from the elderly, so when you combine the two it's something extremely rewarding, and something that you can a great deal learn from. All in all, the HELP program is a fantastic volunteering opportunity.
