Mission Statement

IHD India specialize in placing international interns with grassroots NGOs in India. These include NGOs working to improve human rights, health, education and the environment. The program begins with an orientation and training followed by observation and work in the field. We believe that this experience is more comprehensive than many others since interns gain a theoretical and practical understanding of the sector. Whatever your experience, doing an internship in India is both challenging and hugely rewarding!

Description

With years of experience in successfully placing interns with NGOs and host families, IHD India is a great place to start your journey. We have an in-depth knowledge of India and the Western world, helping to support interns through the challenges of working abroad. Our international team can help you prepare for your trip to India and plan where you might like to travel (one of our team members has years of experience in the travel industry with specialist knowledge on India), while our in-country team are there as friends and advisers. We take great care of each of our interns, recognizing their potential to change a small part of the communities that we treasure.
