Mission Statement
4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills. 4-H is young people making new friends and memories while preparing to be future leaders.
Description
4-H welcomes all young people ages 5-18. Youths age 5-7 are in a special program called Clover Kids. Missouri 4-H is sponsored by University of Missouri Extension in partnership with Lincoln University, and state, federal and county government in each Missouri county. The youth in 4-H can choose from a variety of projects to learn, demonstrate, and exhibit each year. Parents, guardians and volunteers run the organizations. Community service is carried out within each club. The 4-H motto is "to make the best better". The 4-H pledge encourages the youth to use their head for clearer thinking, their hearts for greater loyalty, their hands for larger service, and their health for better living for their club, community, county and world.
