Mission Statement

Vashon is an Island of parks and the Vashon Park District hosts most of them. We provide a mixture of types of land and facilities - including wildlife habitat, resource activities, trails, athletic fields, indoor community centers, and special purpose meeting and interpretive centers in accordance with district policies and objectives.

Description

The Park district owns part of the lands and facilities used for local programs. Other facilities are provided through an inter-local agreement with Vashon School District. And, some are managed with the Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust.
