Amigos de las Amricas (AMIGOS) hosts programs for young adults to volunteer abroad. AMIGOS’ volunteer opportunities focus on youth leadership training and community development in Latin America. High school and college volunteers spend 4-8 weeks living with a host family and work directly with community and partner agency volunteers to carry out projects in public health, nutrition, education, environmentalism, business development, and much more. Amigos is comprised of a home office in Houston, TX and 26 local chapters around the United States.
