Mission Statement

The Crowden Music Center brings inspired music education to young and old alike. Through our day school, community programs, and concert series, more than 10,000 people take part in classes, workshops, concerts, and other music events at the Crowden Music Center each year. The Crowden Center for Music in the Community (CCMC)offers a full range of music lessons, classes, and summer programs. The Crowden School (grades 4-8) combines a rigorous academic curriculum with a distinguished daily music program. Crowden's annual concerts and events bring inspired music performances to a wide audience.

Through our diverse music programming, the Crowden Music Center nurtures a lifelong love of music.

Description

The Crowden Music Center is committed to making music education accessible throughout the Bay Area. While low-cost music lessons and classes form a significant part of our program, we bring music into the community in many other ways!

CMC brings outstanding music classes into the community directly with our Outreach Programs . Current off-site programs include classes at Washington Elementary (Berkeley Public School District) and Resurrection Lutheran Church (Oakland).
