Mission Statement

To be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.

Description

Women against Multiple Sclerosis (WAMS) is a philanthropic networking group made up of executive level women across the greater Toronto area. This year is the 9 th annual WAMS Gala Luncheon including Guest Speaker Betsy Myers and Honouree Dr. Fiona Costello. Betsy Myers, a leadership expert and former Senior Advisor during Barack Obama’s campaign and Dr. Fionna Costello an Associate Professor affiliated with the Departments of Clinical Neurosciences and Surgery have been carefully chosen to be showcased at that the event. Since the launch of WAMS in Ontario it has raised over $2 million.

Multiple Sclerosis can affect anyone and often is a disabling autoimmune disease. Currently there is no cure and everyday more Canadians are diagnosed. However, Canadian MS researchers have made tremendous strides to eliminate the disease
