We seek to treat everyone who comes in the door as if they are the one we are waiting for. We offer a hot lunch, groceries, clothes and help in paying utility bills. Just as important, we offer a place where people are valued and respected. The majority of our work is done by volunteers, most of whom first came for help, themselves. This inclusive environment affirms our belief that we are more similar than different. Our team each day includes people from all walks of life and beliefs who come together to serve, building a real sense of community among team members.
We provide nonperishable food, like rice and beans and canned goods, as well as fresh fruits, vegetables and dairy items. This fresh food is rescued from local businesses like Costco, Sprouts, Fresh Market, Kroger and Publix, transforming food that would have ended in a land fill into nutritious, fresh food for people who often do not have access to quality groceries.
