HEARTS, Inc. is a faith-based, non-profit, inter-denominational charitable and educational organization established for the residents of Cleburne County, Alabama, working in collaboration with area churches, volunteers, businesses, and agencies willing to give their expertise, skills and resources to help people with short term needs reach long term success.
HEARTS is a volunteer organization established in 2001 working in cooperation with area churches, businesses, schools, agencies and individuals willing to give of their skills and expertise to help people with short term needs reach long term success. HEARTS is a 501 c 3 federal tax-exempt organizaion and all donations are tax deductible. HEARTS provides a vast array of services to families and individuals from offices located in Ranburne and Heflin, Alabama.
As funds and resources permit, we provide assistance with the following:
-Individual intake and assessment of need -Case Management and follow up services -Counseling Support -Employment Assistance -Food and Paper Pantries -Colton Lee White Memorial Stork Program for New Moms -Clothing and shoes, even prom dresses -Sports Closet located at Ranburne location (uniforms, shoes, sports equipment for youth) -School Supplies, workbooks and fees -Coats, blankets, heaters, fans -Thanksgiving Food Boxes -Christmas Clearinghouse for eligible children under age 16 -Donations of home furnishings, furniture and appliances -Special purchases (formula, medical supplies, etc.) -Emergency financial assistance with: --Doctor visits Utilities --Dental visits Rent/Mortgage --Medication Transportation --Catastrophic medical help Food vouchers -Information/Referral to 2nd Chance Domestic Violence Center services
-Cancer Relief Services to help those who are currently being treated for cancer.
*HEARTS Thrift Shop at 20840 Main Street, Ranburne, AL 36273 HEARTS accepts tax-deductible donations of gently used and new clothing, accessories, home furnishings, and collectibles. The HEARTS Thrift Shop is open daily except Sunday to the public. All thrift shop proceeds go toward funding HEARTS charitable and educational programs. Thrift shop vouchers available to eligible clients.
