The Sunnyside/Woodside Boys & Girls Club (SWBGC) exists to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
Description
The Sunnyside/Woodside Boys & Girls Club ( http://vimeo.com/43473484 ) is an after-school program located in Sunnyside & Woodside, Queens. We care for nearly 30-40 children daily during our after school program which runs from Monday - Friday 4:30pm-7:00pm (Power Hour (HW Help) & Recreational Activities) for 5th-8th graders and 7:00pm-9:00pm for (Power Hour (HW Help) & Recreational Activities) for 8th grade- high school students, with special programs for our 1st-4th grade youth on Saturdays 11:00am-2:00pm. We also provide after-school programming at our other location in Astoria from 2:30-7:30pm. The Sunnyside/Woodside Boys & Girls Club serves a diverse group of children in our community. We provide a broad range of youth programs in five core areas: Character & Leadership Education & Career Health & Life Skills The Arts Sports, Fitness & Recreation
