Mission Statement

Adventures Of A Wizard is a Broadway style magical musical extravaganza for the general public that raises funds for Portals Of Wonder, the volunteer-driven, 501(c)3 charitable not-for-profit that brings magic, mime, music and myth to children facing critical illness such as AIDS and cancer, to homeless youth and to frail elderly via shows inspired by vaudeville of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the golden age of Broadway musicals.

From these shows we also create customized arts education workshops and therapeutic programs in theaters, schools, places of worship, hospitals, homeless shelters and other non-traditional settings. Shows and programs are designed to bring hope, wonder, and inspiration into lives that may have lost it.

Description

Portals Of Wonder is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) charitable not-for-profit that has brought magic, music, myth and mime through vaudeville shows to over 10,000 at-risk and homeless youth, frail elderly, and children with critical illnesses such as AIDS and cancer. Therapeutic and arts education programs are funded with donations and performances of our Broadway-style magical-musical revue, Adventures of a Wizard.
