Houston Center for Photography is an educational and cultural organization that deepens the understanding and appreciation of the photographic arts.

Description

Houston Center for Photography (HCP) is an arts organziation that is dedicated to promoting photography and lens based work through exhibtions, publications and education to our membership and the photographic community at large. The gallery hosts various exhibtions each year dealing with a variety of themes in photography. SPOT, HCP's magazine which is published twice a year, contiues the exploration of issues in contemporary and historic photography. HCP recently expanded our educational programming with the opening of the Learning Center which houses a digital lab and a resource library. In addition to workshops and lectures, HCP hosts outreach programs in the surrounding communities with high school students and paitents at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
