Mission Statement

The mission of the National Autism Association - Northeast Ohio is to give families who have a child or children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder the tools to locate and access necessary treatments. We will fulfill this mission by providing financial assistance to help defray the costs of such treatments and by connecting families to existing resources.

Description

The National Autism Association- Northeast Ohio (NAA- NEO) Chapter aims to promote access to services while decreasing stress on families through grant support, resource linkage, and financial training. This will be accomplished through workshop presentations, resource linking, and the Helping Hand Program which provides grants for qualifying families at an average of $1,500 to defray costs of therapies, early intervention, and other needed treatments.

The NAA- NEO is unique in that it does not endorse individual programs, therapies, treatments, schools or facilities, or the theories or practices of any one individual or entity. Rather, families are empowered to seek and choose the most appropriate program for their child with resources provided by the NAA- NEO.

This organization serves Northeast Ohio in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Summit, Portage, Lake, Medina, and Geauga counties.
