Mission Statement

The mission of the Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Centeris to guarantee the citizens of Long Beach, CSULB students, faculty and staff, and surrounding communities access to the entire spectrum of performing arts experiences through resident companies, arts outreach, and unique programming.

Description

Objectives:

  • To offer a facility that meets the highest professional standards for all who enter.
  • To present professional artists and performances otherwise not available to our communities.
  • To be an active and participatory member of the CSULB community and to serve as a bridge between the University and its surrounding communities.
  • To provide a home for regional arts organizations.
  • To host community celebrations and events.
  • To provide an experiential arts education and outreach program designed to inspire an appreciation of artists and their work.
