Mission Statement

The MTW Guild is dedicated to helping Musical Theatre West preserve musical theater as a unique American art form and enriching the cultural life of the community through the presentation of established musicals, the development of new works and the expansion of our Youth Cultural Enrichment program.

Description

The MTW Guild was organized in 1992 to be an ambassador of goodwill in the community and to provide an all-volunteer work force for MTW. It provides various support services at its productions produced at the Karen and Richard Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of California State University, Long Beach and at MTW's general office/rehearsal hall, also in Long Beach. It also raises funds to support the Youth Cultural Enrichment Program and Actors Scholarship Fund.
