Mission Statement
Music Mobile 's mission is to promote cooperation, empowerment, tolerance, civic responsibility, community pride, and self-esteem by developing and presenting innovative music and creative arts programs, and creating and disseminating educational resource materials. Serving diverse people of all ages but with a particular focus on the education, development, and socialization of children, Music Mobile enriches the quality of life for individuals and communities and is a catalyst for cultural understanding and social transformation.
Description
Music Mobile presents year-round concerts, workshops, residencies, and special projectsin conjunction with schools, after-school and summer programs, parks, libraries, festivals, family shelters, rehabilitation programs, nursing homes, and senior centers. We also provide training and professional development for parents, educators, and human services staff, and develop and distribute educational books, recordings, calendars, board games, and training materials. Music Mobile 's programs are local, regional, national, and international in scope, with most programs taking place in the Capital Region of New York State. Music Mobile is operated by full and part time staff, volunteers, and a Board of Directors that consists of community-minded individuals involved in business, education, organizational development, human services, and the arts.
