Mission Statement

Infinite Family strengthens and inspires vulnerable southern African children to lead fulfilling lives.

By being involved in Infinite Family, you help a southern African child develop real-life skills, the very keys to future success. By sharing a child's life, you touch more than one life, you touch those around them and the commuities in which they live. That kind of giving makes a real difference.

To watch a child blossom and grow is a remarkable experience. To have a child look up to you, to somehow enrich his or her life, is a rewarding experience. But to have your own life touched, to blossom and grow with a child...that is a profound experience.

We all have a gift to give. It's in all of us. And it's different for each and everyone of us. Be a mentor. Be a friend. Just be there. The gift is you!

I believe that every child deserves a mentor in their lives. I am a school teacher and my responsibility is to make a difference in the life of children. I would definitely share this with others that also have a heart to help with any child regardless of color, race, ethnicity, or physical and emotional needs.

Being a mentor with Infinite Family has been an incredibly rewarding (and fun!) experience. Through weekly videoconferences I virtually connect with my teenage Net Buddy in South Africa. We share stories, play games, research careers, strategize about school and tricky situations and so on. The children involved with IF do not have it easy and desperately need support beyond providing the basic necessities. My Net Buddy has told me that she is 'happy to have a supporter like me' and that I am 'someone she can trust' when she needs advice. I also see an improvement in her English and computer skills. Her enthusiasm and perpetual smile have had a profound impact on me too. Plus, IF fits in nicely with my busy lifestyle. My weekly videoconferences are scheduled at a time that is convenient for me. And the initial training is not only convenient with its on-demand format, but also it is very interesting and informative. This volunteer opportunity has truly been life changing.

I've loved to volunteer (my WHOLE LIFE) & I think this is such a great charity and I would love to help. So many children could use our help, I'd like to jump on that band-wagon ASAP.I feel everyone with free time should donate @ least SOME of it for a good cause. This is a very honorable cause. I wish I could find more like it!
