Mission Statement
The Colon Cancer Alliance- Voices of Madison exists to represent all who have suffered from colon and rectal cancers. All are welcome to join, including any who are currently battling this disease, survivors, caregivers, family members, friends and those with a hereditary predisposition to these cancers.
Voices of Madison educates about prevention, programs and early detection. We strive to inform the public that colorectal cancer is a PREVENTABLE cancer. We fundraise to give us the ability to educate, give patient support and fund much needed research.
Cancer does not define us. We live lives beyond cancer. But we chose to come together in a focus to fight the second largest cancer killer, colorectal cancer.
Voices of Madison does not focus solely on Madison, WI. We strive to inform everyone, so whether you live 5 miles away or 50, please join us in this mission. You can play a significant role in your town too!!!
Description
The Colon Cancer Alliance works to inform the public that colon cancer is PREVENTABLE!! Colon cancer is the 2nd leading in cancer causing deaths in the US, but it does not need to be. Regular colonoscopies can help prevent this cancer!!
We strive to educate by putting out posters, sending letters and visiting hospitals, cancer centers, senior centers, etc. We offer patient support by leading them to the right organizations, including the CCA's buddy system. We also fundraise to help support much needed research!!
