Dedicated to improving the physical, mental and spiritual well being of individuals with special needs through their involvement with horses.

Description

Through equine assisted activity, certified instructors use horses to help increase the rider's physical fitness as well as self-esteem and confidence. The horses natural rhythm moves the muscles and spine in a way that duplicates the normal movement of walking.

A horse is a dynamic, living animal that lends itself perfectly to a MULTI-SENSORY approach to healing.

Many persons restricted to wheelchairs, braces and crutches become INDEPENDENTLY MOBILE for the first time while riding a horse.

Posture, balance, coordination, strengthening and stretching all OCCUR NATURALLY in the course of riding.
