Mission Statement

Buena Vista Alternative School's Spanish Bilingual Immersion Program offers both the native English and native Spanish speaker an opportunity to become bilingual and biliterate while developing an appreciation for cultural diversity.

Spanish and English instruction is carefully developed and maintained from K to 5. Students are challenged by a developmentally appropriate academic program in Spanish and in English. They take with them the skills and attitudes that promote life-long learning and social responsibility.

El Programa de Inmersión de la Escuela Alternativa Buena Vista ofrece al hispohablante y también al anglohablante la misma oportunidad de llegar a ser bilingüe mientras aprende a apreciar la diversidad cultural.

La instrucción en los dos idiomas está cuidadosamente planeada y mantenida desde el Kinder hasta el quinto grado. Ofrecemos a los estudiantes un ambiente académico riguroso y apropiado a su nivel de desarollo. Los alumnos se llevan las destrezas y las actitudes necesarias para seguir aprendiendo por el resto de sus vidas. También formamos miembros responsables de la sociedad.
