Textile Center's mission is to honor textile traditions, promote excellence and innovation, and inspire widespread participation in fiber art.
Textile Center is a Minneapolis-based arts organization dedicated to fiber art. Textile Center is located in the Prospect Park neighborhood. It is home to three galleries that feature rotating exhibitions of fiber art; the nation's largest circulating library of textile-related books and periodicals; the region's only publically-accessible professionally-equipped dye lab; a shop featuring the work of local and national fiber artists; and an organic demonstration dye garden featuring native and traditional dye plants. Our education programs consist of onsite textile art classes and workshops for adults of all skill levels; of onsite youth and student educational programs; and off-site educational programs held at schools, libraries, communiity centers, and other venues around the region.
