Mission Statement

A 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, devoted to promoting early reading and literacy skills in families with children ages 3-5.

Description

Sydney’s Book Club is a unique program, in that there is no other published program like it across the nation. Though there are Mom’s Clubs, Book Clubs, and Playgroups through various organizations being held, they are not part of a comprehensive growth and learning program aimed at promoting early literacy and reading within our target age group. SBC provides both a Mom’s Club, and Playgroup type environment, while at the core there is an educational tool that can influence, support, and be a precursor to the foundation of early academic achievement. While attending book club, children will be introduced to new words, along with teaching letter recognition and sound, followed by a creative activity/craft which will be centered around the book of the day. Children's desire to read will be ignited by their ability to recall story time, and identify words when traveling about their little walks of daily life. Parents will be excited about their little one’s eagerness to learn and new ability that they will continue to challenge their kids on a more consistent basis.
