Mission Statement

The YMCA is a charitable association dedicated to building a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Part of a worldwide movement, it puts Christian principles into practice through programs that promote development and international understanding. YMCAs are open to men, women, and children of all ages, incomes, abilities, races, and religions in over 2000 locations in 50 states.

Although the programs and services offered at different Y's vary, YMCA's are tied together by 5 basic goals: promoting healthy lifestyles, strengthening families, developing leadership in youth, increasing international understanding, and assisting in community development.
