Opportunity Nicaragua works by linking the most promising community economic development strategies with microcredit strategies to accelerate and elevate the poor out of poverty.

One of the ways we enact our mission is through our Technical Entrepreneurial High School in Diriomo, Nicaragua, which serves 180 rural Nicaraguan 7th-9th grade students. The high school’s goals are twofold: first, to provide students with a rigorous secondary education based in Christian values. Second, to equips students with technical training in either sustainable agri-business or sustainable tourism, giving them a distinct advantage upon entering the job market or higher education. This education provides students with the tools to positively impact their lives and communities.
