We teach sailing, marine science and adventure water sports to students from ages 4 to adult. NESS makes getting on the water incredibly easy and affordable offering a wide range of courses in marine sciences, sailing, windsurfing, and adventure sports like kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, fishing, and surfing to children and adults. Our extensive curriculum (over 150 courses) and incredibly dedicated staff make NESS a fantastic place to learn and have fun. Our scholarship program helps make our programs accessible to all. From the first moment the students interact with our staff, they feel at ease and confident that our talented teachers will help them reach their goals.

NESS’s programs integrate adventure education, STEM education, environmental stewardship, and inclusiveness for a powerful, fun learning experience. NESS is large enough to have the scale to offer a diverse range of classes, yet NESS’s low student to instructor ratio (6:1 for most classes) means students truly become part of the NESS family. What could be more fun than being on (or in!) the water, learning new skills, surrounded by friends old and new, and guided by knowledgeable, dedicated staff?
