Mission Statement

The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to:

"Preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive."

Description

The Nature Conservancy's Silver Creek Preserve encompasses a unique high-desert spring fed ecosystem. The Nature Conservancy has been working with partners around Silver Creek for over 30 years to protect the fragile system of wetlands, marshes, springs, and streams. Silver Creek supports an abundant population of insects, birds, fish, and mammals. Silver Creek is one of the most well known fisheries in the U.S. and we see over 7,000 visitors each year- 95% of which are fly-fishermen.
