The Mission of the Delaware SPCA is to prevent animal cruelty, homelessness and neglect and to promote the humane treatment of animals in the State of Delaware.
The Delaware SPCA is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty and the encouragement of humane treatment of all animals. Established in 1873, Delaware SPCA is the oldest animal welfare organization in the state and has provided continuous service to pets and their companions for more than 140 years.
We operate many programs to service our community including:
AdoptionWe have plenty of great dogs and cats available for adoption. Visit either shelter location to find your new best friend. We are open Monday - Saturday. All pets have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adoption fees also includes a free first visit with a participating veterinarian.
