FERN's mission is to conserve, protect and enhance habitats for plants, fish, and wildlife for the continuing benefit of the people of Long Island, New York, and the Northeast through research, education, and dissemination of information.

Description

FERN's next multi-year project will implement a Freshwater Wetlands Monitoring program to better understand these beautiful and unique ecosystems. This information will be used by natural resource managers to conserve and protect these vital ecosystems.
