Mission Statement

Our mission is to strengthen families for success. We accomplish this mission through 12 diverse programs ranging from parenting education to in-school youth programs to mental health counseling to child care information and referral.

Description

We are a private, non-profit, United Way member agency, supporting families in the Central Virginia community since 1909. Our programs are:

Credit Counseling
Ways to Work - A Family Loan program
Child Abuse Prevention Center
Healthy Families Central Virginia
Teen Parent Program
Resource Mothers
Partners in Prevention
Partnership for the Prevention of Substance Abuse
Child Care Resource Center
The Counseling Center

In July of 2009, we changed our name from the Alliance for Families & Children to the Family Alliance.
