Mission Statement
Mission: The mission of the Dr. John T. Carey Memorial AIDS Walk is to raise funds for HIV/AIDS services, to build awareness of the disease, and to create a community to meet the needs of people living at risk of HIV/AIDS in the Greater Cleveland area.
Description
The Dr. John T.Carey Memorial AIDS Walk is the largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser and awareness event in Northern Ohio. The 17th Annual Walk will be held on Saturday, October 6 in University Circle.
Beneficiaries include the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland, The Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland, the AGAPE Program of Antioch Baptist Church, Community AIDS Network (Akron), Camp Sunrise for HIV/AIDS affected children, Proyecto Luz/Project Light, the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Community Services Center of Greater Cleveland., Planned Parenthood of Greater Cleveland, the Women's Center of Greater Cleveland, Hispanic UMADAOP, and the Ohio AIDS Coalition.
All funds raised remain in the region.
