Mission Statement
Lutheran Services of Georgia (LSG) is a statewide nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to promote services that enhance the stability, wellness, health, and safety of individuals and families in Georgia. LSG envisions caring communities where all people thrive, participate, and have the opportunity to realize their full potential. Therefore, LSG serves those in need with integrity, love and kindness in order to change lives, restore dignity, work for justice, and bring hope, healing and strength.
Description
Lutheran Services of Georgia brings hope, healing, and strength to people in need, regardless of religion, race, ability, gender or sexual orientation. LSG has provided services ranging from adoption, foster care and family support services, to refugee assistance, disaster response disability support for adults, and after school programs.
Through combining the resources of staff, financial donors, various governmental agencies, volunteers, and Lutheran congregations, LSG is able to bring quality programs and services to the people of Georgia. There are volunteer opportunties in the surrounding areas of Atlanta, Albany, Athens, Augusta, Columbus, Rome and Savannah.
