Mission Statement

To provide public awareness and education concerning the welfare of equines, and to work with county Humane Society Chapters, Animal Control Offices and Law Enforcement Offices in Iowa to guarantee the welfare and safety of all equines in the state.

Description

To ensure that all equines live in a safe, healthy, nurturing environment in Iowa. To educate and bring awareness to the importance of sound animal husbandry. IERAL works closely with all 99 counties in Iowa with equine neglect and abuse cases. We are the "Animal Care Provider" when it comes to Iowa Code 717.
