Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
15 to 40-year-olds are diagnosed with cancer nearly 5x more frequently than young children. However, since 1975, improvements in their survival rates have not kept pace with those in other age groups. 15-40 Connection strives to empower individuals to take personal responsibility for their health and become proactive. By providing educational resources, tools, and programming, our goal is to improve cancer survival rates through the power of early detection for this overlooked population.
15-40 Connection is a growing national organization committed to helping you act on your awareness about the lifesaving advantage of early cancer detection. 15-40 Connection is raising awareness of the fact that cancer survival rates in teens and young adults aged 15 to 40 have barely improved since 1975, in large part because of delays in diagnosis. It is empowering individuals with knowledge that will save and improve lives through early cancer detection. 15-40 Connection wants to empower individuals to think and talk about cancer in a new way. This is 'a new cancer conversation’ and it starts with the question, 'Would you recognize a cancer symptom?’ Many would answer 'no’ to this question. Due to the fact that cancer survival rates drastically improve when cancer is caught in its early stages, 15-40 Connection wants to empower individuals with the ability to detect cancer early when it is most treatable and curable. Your best chance is you!
