Translators help at clinics with paperwork and follow-up appointments. Certified Medical Interpreters can help translate during medical appointments. Outside of clinic hours, translators are needed to assist with patient scheduling and translation of patient materials. These opportunities take place in Haller Lake, Lynnwood and Snohomish Everett. We have locations in Lynnwood, Haller Lake, Phinney Ridge (N. Seattle) and Everett.

The 'NURSE’ position at Lahai may be filled by RNs, LPNs, MAs, CNAs and EMTs. to provide high quality care to Lahai patients during clinic hours. Work alongside our medical providers taking patients’ vital signs, performing point-of-care tests, and assisting in the exam room, within their scope of practice. Lahai values and treats our patients from a holistic point of view, always maintaining the patient’s dignity and showing respect to them and their family. Free malpractice insurance is available if you have a license. Lahai will assist volunteers with this insurance. Lahai offer's clinic's in multiple locations including North Seattle, Lynnwood, Alderwood, Everett and with our Mobile Medical Unit we are able to open new clinic locations as needed.

Provides accurate interpretation and translation of critical medical information in direct service to physicians and/or other health care providers who are seeing patients who cannot speak or understand English, when specifically required by the provider. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Precisely and accurately interprets critical medical advice and information given by the provider into equivalent terminology in the patient's native language and conversely, translates 'word for word’ what the patient says, to the provider. Assists in translating medical text from English on behalf of staff and volunteers; may translate patient education information as specifically requested. Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with all patients, volunteers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees. Assists with patient follow-up as necessary, to include contacting patients with appointment reminders. Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with Lahai Health policies and standards. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Certification/Licensed Interpreter/Translator Certificate and/or Certificate of Competency from an approved Interpreter/Translator training program. Fluency in relevant foreign languages. Current knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation. Excellent listening skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. TRAINING PROVIDED: We will provide training on our Electronic Health Record system. Patient Care Coordinators (Receptionists) Patient Care Coordinators facilitate a positive experience for everyone. Volunteers in this position should be organized, detail oriented, friendly, patient, work well with others, have excellent phone skills, and possess basic computer skills. Receptionists greet patients, ensure patient paperwork is completed correctly, enter new patient information into our EHR program, and schedule follow-up appointments. All training is provided; no experience is needed. We are a low income, comprehensive, primary-care clinic in King and Snohomish County. Our services include integrated and comprehensive, medical, dental and mental health counseling.
