Mission Statement

The Mission of the NJ Commission on National and Communtiy Service is to support the growth and development of volunteerism throughout the state of New Jersey through the promotion, coordination and enhancement of citizen participation.

The Office occupies a particularly important role in state government, serving as a statewide liaison between public, private, local, state and national volunteer programs.

Description

Today, the NJ Commission on National and Community Service continues to fulfill its critical mission. Advocacy, recognition, communication and technical assistance form the backbone of the Office.

The primary goal is to be a centralized agency on volunteerism in the state and to provide the opportunity, tools and support New Jersey's citizens so that they can participate and benefit from the "volunteer experience."
