Mission Statement

Ann Arbor’s Adopt-A-Park program goals are to increase the care and management of our parks, bring our community together through volunteerism, and have fun doing it.

Description

The City of Ann Arbor owns over 2000 acres of park land at 162 parks. We've had thousands of volunteers help to improve these areas - we would love your help in caring for all of these parks.

Regional parks like Veterans Memorial Park and neighborhood parks like Baxter, Churchill Downs, and Scheffler need neighbors and park users to take up their cause. Park Adopters have been planting and maintaining flower beds; maintaining the trails and paths; painting and caring for park structures; cleaning up litter; planting, mulching, and watering trees; and generally making sure the park is in order. The activities you can choose to do in your favorite park is primarily limited only by the needs of the park and your interest!
