Mission Statement

Since 1982 The Midwife Center For Birth & Women's Health has provided exceptional women's healthcare to thousands of women living in the tri-state area, and welcomed over 3000 babies into the world. The Midwife Center is southwestern Pennsylvania's only licensed, accredited freestanding birth center. Our mission is to provide safe and satifying care that is personalized and consumer driven. This approach emphasizes client and family education, prevention and woman-centered care, and distinguishes The Midwife Center as an exceptional women's healthcare option in our region.

Description

Our team of state-licensed nurse-midwives provides well-woman gynecological care, pregnancy care and educational classes for women and families from puberty through menopause. The Midwife Center strives to reach underserved populations, such as the uninsured, through programs like With Woman Friday (a walk-in, sliding scale clinic) and Con Mujeres (a monthly Spanish-speaking walk-in clinic).
