Oakland Zoo deepens connections with animals, saves wildlife, and inspires champions for the natural world. Our Learning and Engagement programs foster connected communities of lifelong learners and champions for animals and nature. ​ Through a spectrum of experiences, we demonstrate that human and animal well-being are interconnected and thrive through individual and collective action.

Description

Docents and Volunteers inspire compassion for and conservation of all living things. The Docents and Volunteers work with staff to impart knowledge, serve as mentors, and create opportunities for people to be active learners.
