Mission Statement

The Chicago Center for Green Technology promotes and advances sustainable homes, businesses, workplaces, and communities to enhance the quality of urban life. We accomplish this through education and training, research and demonstration, and acting as a resource network.

Description

The Chicago Center for Green Technology is the first rehabilitated municipal building in the nation to receive the LEEDâ„¢ Platinum rating by the US Green Building Council. Mayor Richard M. Daley dedicated the building in 2002 and it has gone on to become a national model for sustainable design and technology.

The Center serves as the most comprehensive green design educational resource in the Midwest. We promote and advance sustainable homes, workplaces and communities to enhance the quality of urban life. We work to facilitate this through educational programming and training, research and demonstration and by acting as a resource network.
