Mission Statement
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
Description
Nationally, the American Cancer Society relies on over 3 million volunteers every year as we work to to save lives by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities within the Tulsa office, some of which include: clerical, driving patients to treatment and doctors appointments, cosmetologists needed to conduct beauty classes for cancer patients, and Relay For Life and Cattle Barons Ball volunteers who perform a wide range of activities to support our two largest fundraisers.
