Mission Statement

The Long Beach Bar Foundation (LBBF), founded in 1994, is a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to strengthening the youth of the greater Long Beach community through juvenile crime diversion and prevention, legal education, scholarships and other charitable programs.

Description

For twelve years, the Long Beach Bar Foundation has operated the highly successful SHORTSTOP Juvenile Crime Diversion Program which each year serves over 450 at risk youth and their families. The SHORSTOP Program teaches youth about their legal rights and responsibilities and consequences to their actions by giving them a taste of what it would be like to be in custody, Instructors for the program teach youth about making better decisions and setting and reaching short and long term goals.
