We provide: 1. Rental assistance to prevent evictions 2. Utility assistance to prevent disconnection 3. Grocery assistance 4. MARTA cards, men's clothing and state ID for employment 5. Counseling and referrals to other organizations

Description

Since 1986, MAC has helped in over 139,000 emergency situations and provided over $8,000,000 of assistance to low-income households. MAC’s Homeless Prevention Program is successful in helping to achieve family stability, as our monthly landlord follow-up shows that 90% of the households MAC assists with rent are still housed and 84% of households have electricity. MAC operates with a staff of six employees, making volunteers a vital part of MAC. Last year, 250 volunteers contributed over 7,000 hours and were the largest individual donors.
