Positive Directions Inc. (PDI) is a not for profit agency that provides community, action, resources, education and support for those who have HIV infection and their loved ones. PDI also educates people about behaviors that put them at risk for HIV infection.

Description

Positive Directions, Inc. (PDI) started its journey in 1991 as Care Coordination Team. PDI received its 501c3 determination in May of 1999. On November 10, 2001, we celebrated 10 years of providing services and education in the Wichita area and officially changed our name. In its beginning, PDI was primarily a care focused organization. Teams of volunteers were trained and assigned to a client to provide as much support as possible. There were instances where volunteers were used 7 days a week to help keep the client at home and out of the hospital or nursing home. The strength of the agency was and is the ability to identify client needs and adjust or develop programs to fit those needs.
