To provide refugee/immigrant youth with a comprehensive culturally and linguistically appropriate mentoring program designed to improve engagement in school and community, parenting skills of parents of participants, and increase communication regarding cultural barriers between families and community organizations.

  • Mentoring one-on one and assisting youth in overcoming academic/behavioral challenges and language barriers.
  • Providing educational workshops for parents to help them understand the school system and its requirements from both students and parents.
  • Providing cultural sensitivity training to local schools and other community service providers.
