Mission Statement

Sellwood SUN community school is a partnership between Multnomah County, Portland Children's Investment Fund and Portland Impact. The SUN program strives to improve student achievement, encourage parent and community involvement in the schools and provide resources to community members in need.

Description

The SUN program provides a number of services to the Sellwood and the SE Portland community. We offer a variety of Extended-Day programs for our students, including Homework Club, Dance Team, Cooking Class and Marimba. In addition we offer Family and Parent classes on topics ranging from Introductory Spanish to Adolescent Development. Through our conection to Portland Impact, the Sellwood SUN program is also able to offer access to social services such as rent and energy bill assistance.
