The mission of Open Door Family Medical Centers is to provide quality health care and human services at affordable prices to the community, particularly low-income, under-served residents and those lacking access to health care.
Founded in 1972 in the basement of the First Baptist Church in Ossining, Open Door was first operated as a free clinic, staffed by nearly 100 local volunteers. Today, a professional staff numbering more than 270 deliver quality health care at our four health centers in Port Chester, Sleepy Hollow, Ossining, Mount Kisco, and five school-based health centers in Port Chester schools. We provide medical, dental and mental health services, including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, dentistry, psychiatry, nutrition, health promotion and education. In 2011 Open Door served 43,000 patients with 178,000 patient visits.
